Job Philosophy: The Associate Director of Admissions is the focal point where current and future parents build a relationship with the school. The associate director inspires parents’ trust and confidence that B’nai Shalom is the right choice for their family. Qualified candidates must embody these relational qualities, working with the rest of our administrative and faculty teams to provide an excellent customer experience.

Primary Function: Increase enrollment of new students and improve retention of current students by promoting and marketing a positive image of B’nai Shalom to the current school community, prospective families and the broader Greensboro Jewish community. This individual will be part of the school’s senior management team and will report to the Director of Advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Admissions
Strive to reach and/or exceed all the recruitment goals for inquiries, campus visits acceptances, deposits, and new student enrollees.
Steward families through the admissions process including inquiries, tours, applications, screenings, shadow days, and enrollment.
Identify prospective families and actively recruit by building relationships in the community, utilizing parent ambassadors and marketing.
Create, organize, market, and implement special recruitment and retention events.
Act as the first point of contact for prospective families.
Collaborate with leadership, administration and financial aid coordinator.
Coordinate the parent and student ambassador program.
Manage online inquiries and applications through RenWeb.
Develop and implement strategies to retain current students.
Create initiatives to support and advise parents to re-enroll.
Maintain contact with classroom teachers and division heads to obtain information on the family’s status for re-enrollment.
Collaborate with the Parent Association.
Manage online enrollment through the school’s database.
Evaluate and redesign where appropriate all aspects of the admissions and marketing program to increase the overall enrollment of qualified students.
Maintain accurate data on all aspects of admissions and re-enrollment, including data on prospective families.

Marketing
Conceptualize and create marketing and communication strategies to drive engagement with prospective and current students as well as alumni.
Market special events and programs to the greater school community.
Develop community relations within the Greensboro Jewish community, and the Greensboro parent communities.
Manage the website, email marketing, social media, and digital content.
Collaborate with the Director of Advancement on marketing materials for fundraising and donor stewardship.
Collaborate with graphic designers and print vendors in the production of printed materials and web visuals.
Stay connected to the teachers and informed about classroom programs and activities to best promote the school.
Communications
In charge of coordinating and/or writing and editing all external communications.

Other
Engage in professional development to remain current in best practices related to independent school admissions, communications, and marketing.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Experience: Three to five years of related experience

Job-Related Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, respond in a timely manner, and communicate the vision and accomplishments of the school.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Strict attention to detail.
Working knowledge of school admissions criteria and processes.
Outstanding speaking, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
